Derawan islands is a part of Coral Triangle, which contains one of the richest marine biodiversity on earth. Located in a biodiversity hotspot, the Derawan Islands feature 872 species of reef fishes, 507 species of coral, and invertebrates, including protected species (5 giants clam species, 2 sea turtles, coconut crab, etc.). Some of the islands harbor the heavily exploited turtle eggs and yet the largest green turtle nesting site in Indonesia.
Derawan Islands have at least two ponds contain unpoisoned jellyfish, one in Kakaban Island and the other in Maratua Island with Haji Buang Pond. Kakaban is more famous than the second which is also more difficult to access. There are two inhabited islands, namely Derawan (1 village of 1,259 people) and Maratua (4 villages of 2,704 people). Fishing is an important income-generating activity for the community. Since the early 1990s, people have caught live groupers, napoleon wrasse, and lobsters, to fill high demand.

Itinerary:
Day 01 - Via Berau
Meet with our Tour Leader/Guide in Airport. Continue trip with car (around 2,5 hours) to Port. Arrive in Port, continue with speedboat (around 30 minutes). Check in cottage. Free Program. Dinner at 07:00 PM. Free Program.
Day 01 - Via Tarakan
Meet with our Tour Leader/Guide in Airport. Continue trip with speedboat (around 2 - 3 hours). Check in cottage. Free Program. Dinner at 07:00 PM. Free Program.
Day 02:
After breakfast. At 07:00 AM you will pickup to Maratua Island (Haji Mangku Cave, Maratua Paradise Resort, and Snorkeling around Maratua). After that, go to Kakaban Island (Fish Cave, Snorkeling in Kakaban Wall, and Swim in Jellyfish Lake). Lunch in Kakaban Island. After that, go to Sangalaki Island to see Conservation Turtle. At 04:00, back to Derawan Island. Dinner at 07:00 PM.
Day 03 - Via Berau & Tarakan
After breakfast. At 09:00 AM you will pickup to transfer Airport.

10) Returns DP after settlement:
• 100% full refunds if participants asked other substitutes.
• CANCEL H-6 (six days before event) returned 50%.
11) If the minimum quota doesn’t enough :
• The trip still will be going on but with rearrangement budget as totally participant who come in and agreements between participant and IDEA Trip Indonesia.
• Trip will be reschedule until minimum participant enough. (Participant follow next trip schedule based on Open Trip Schedule)
• Trip is canceled and down payment or all redemption fees will be returned 100% in the event of cancellation by IDEA Trip Indonesia.
12) IDEA Trip Indonesia assumes when participant is paying down payment or full payment that agree and understand clearly all details in this agreements and force majure.
13) The itinerary can be changed during the event because out of control from IDEA Trip Indoensia as travel organizer. Such as bad weather, high wave, earthquake, etc.
14) Price can be changed without confirmation if the fuel is increasing, and will be informed later to the participant.
